Future Dimension Background Story
In the year 2500 Earth sent a space shuttle to Mars with
supplies to melt the polar ice caps on Mars’ surface, to
let oxygen back into it's atmosphere. After this, Mars'
atmosphere turned from red to blue and life started to
return to the dying planet. Plants brought from Earth as
seeds and saplings began to grow and bloom, some seeds from
the original flora of Mars, which had been dormant in the
wasted dry soil, miraculously sprung to life and the soil
gradually turned from red dust to brown dirt, just like on
Earth. The Martians, the original inhabitants of the planet,
managed to adjust to the change, although used to a much
thinner atmosphere, but they have been vastly diminished in
numbers and are in effect a race on the verge of extinction.
Now scientists and other emigrants from Earth have lived on
Mars for about 500 years, generation after generation. More
smore polluted, forcing Humans to build homes 1000 feet off
the ground. Below that height pollution and smog, that had
accumulated through century after century, had become so bad
that it no longer was possible to survive at ground level,
except under specially constructed transparent and air-tight
domes.
Future has brought many new devices, such as Androids - robots
that are almost human but yet artificial. The androids that
are manufactured by the Android Factory are very life like.
Sometimes you will never know even who is an android, one
could be your mom or dad, your best friend, or you could be
an android yourself without knowing. It is very hard to tell.
They speak like, hear like and act like humans. They are almost
an exact duplicate. They even have feelings and emotions of
their own, and are usually very resentful, so it’s a good
policy not to anger them. Once they are riled, they will not
stop hating you until they see you dead - personally. Some of
the common androids hang out downtown in Utopia city, like at
the Android Punk Concert. These specimens are usually very
nasty and immature and act like juvenile delinquents instead
of adults - let alone humans.
In the year 3001, the technology in the World had been
increased to it's highest peak, and each country in the World
was trying to seize total power and destroy other countries.
This has come to be known as the Space Wars, because each
country had interests not only on Earth but on many of the
other planets in the Solar System as well. Everyone started
getting very greedy, as so often before in the history of
Mankind. They all wanted power over all humans and androids
and planets at that point.
So different nations sent out androids to kill off people
from the other side, who were important and powerful. The
Android Factory went into over time, creating robots for
each side, not caring who won, just thinking about how much
money they were going to make. It is this company that really
has started all of this in the first place. If their androids
were not around now, Earth would be peaceful and less
polluted and Mars would have a peaceful colony of
civilisation living there.
For two centuries now these planets and others have been going
at it, innocent people being killed and much of the economies’
money also being wasted on machinery and weapons. Now it is
, and there are only very few humans left, they have almost
completely been wiped off from the home planets, both of them.
The few that have survived are trying to reproduce with more
babies. So currently there is a population on Earth and Mars
of about 500 humans, 100 Martians and 55 million androids -
all produced by the same Company.
But gradually humans are coming back into civilisation. Earth's
atmosphere and air has rid itself of the pollution and under
the government of the charismatic leader, Big Brother, a new
city named Utopia, has been built for humans. It is a very
civilised city, run not by androids, but by humans themselves,
because who would ever trust androids again after what they
have done to the humans? There is a very good security in this
city to disable and disintegrate all androids who enter Utopia's
Space Port or the city itself.
Utopia will be the centre for all connections to other planets
>that wish to sign a treaty with the Federation and agree not
to have any androids whatsoever on their premises. But you
still cannot be too sure. Even though Utopia sends inspectors
to each planet in the federation once a month to check on each
planet's census, these inspectors can actually be androids
themselves. Still, for now Utopia rules the Federation of
Planets. Once again human civilisation has been restored.
But is Utopia really as perfect as it seems? And will this
civilisation last for 5000 years like the one before did?
Also there is another war going on in another Galaxy, far, far
away. A group of the planets there, known as the Empire, are
trying to subdue and enslave all other planets in the Galaxy.
There are a few planets trying to resist the Empire and keep
their freedom. The rebels fight a brave but losing battle
against the overwhelming powers of the Empire, and a few
Earthlings are involved in that battle too, although most of
the contestants are alien races like Wookies, Twi’leks and
Ewoks. Jedi Knights are leading the forces on both sides,
some following the Dark Side, others the Power of Light.
So there is much to do, for a brave adventurer, who isn't
afraid to step into a spaceship at Mos Eisley Space Port and
take off for distant worlds in distant Galaxies in the distant
Future...
