About 4D

4 Dimensions is a mud based on time travels, with You can choose to play in Prehistoric, Medieval, Old West or Future, or time-hop between the periods, as many prefer to do. Each world has it’s own plot and background story. The 4 worlds are connected by rifts in the Time Warp - (Time traps) - if you step in one of those accidentally, you’ll end up in another time and place... This is what we offer our players: An all original world, with about 35 zones (4000 rooms) to explore, including a customised Mud School with 4 grades for more or less experienced players. And the world is growing continuously - more than 20 zones are under advanced planning... 8 races and 8 classes, all individual and customised to our 4 themes. Some have unique wear_locs, other special skills, but they are all pretty well balanced to create equal chances for all players. More races/classes will be added later for the remorts. Lots of extra features, like rideable mounts, ranged weapons of different types, vehicles that you can drive yourself, trains, stagecoaches and spaceships that take you to remote zones, no level restricted equipment, (but some of it is race- and/or class-specific). Restricted pkill - at level 15 you get a choice if you want to register as a pkiller or not. You are only allowed to pkill and psteal from other registered pkillers, and only within 10 levels up and down from your own. Illegal pkilling gets punished severely. The option to buy (and even design yourself) a private house, shop or castle, in which items stored save during crashes. The estates can’t be bought for money though, you must collect enough of our special 4D Currency. You can find the currency hidden in the zones, exchange ears from robbers and vermin for it, earn it by reporting bugs and typos and submitting good ideas, win it in quests, or get it as a reward for good role-play and/or helpfulness towards other players
